What a fun place to go for dinner! I came here with my family last Friday to celebrate a birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. The ambience of this place is stunning--the lighting and plants really elevate the experience and create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Upon arrival, we were informed of a 30-minute wait, so we decided to kill some time at the bar. The wait time ended up being shorter than expected, and we finished our drinks at the table. We opted for family-style dining and started with chips and guacamole, followed by a molcajete and the Los Favoritos platter. The molcajete was definitely my favorite--it was so flavorful! During our meal, the mariachi band came out, adding a lively touch to our dining experience. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the staff came over to sing and brought out a complimentary flan. We also ordered a deep-fried ice cream, which was the perfect ending to our meal. Overall, we received great service, enjoyed the beautiful ambiance, and ate delicious food. Special shoutout to our waitress Yomara, who was accommodating and very sweet. Rosa Madera made our celebration truly special!

Food was amazing! Atmosphere is beautiful! July 6, 2024: Used yelp to join waitlist, recommend checking a few hours before you actually want to eat. This place is busy, but that's because it's good! Joined waitlist at 5:30 was seated at 7pm, two people. We browsed around Goodwill while we waited. Seated close to the stage, it was wonderful! The atmosphere is so fun and beautiful. We ordered drinks, Conejo Malo and San Juan, both drinks had a bit of a smoky bite at the end and both were made well. I recommend the Conejo Malo for sure. For appetizer we ordered the Queso Con Rajás, delicious, wish it came with tortillas instead of chips but still good! For dinner we ordered the Molcajete and the Quesabrirras, both very sooooo delicious! I can't say enough good things about the Molcajete it was soooo delicious, I can't wait to go back and order it again. It came with fresh homemade tortillas and a side of rice and beans. We also had the Horchata which was homemade and was soooooo good! Our server was quick and very attentive. There was a Latin pop group preforming that night on stage and they were great! I really enjoyed everything! Can't wait to go back again!!

I saw this restaurant on Instagram and it was labeled as the most beautiful restaurant in OC so I had to check it out. It definitely lived up to its name! The outside seemed not too great but once you walk in you are tranformed into a beautiful garden look and feel. The level of details and color schemes gave it a "WOW" effect . I loved the creativity of the red roses with tree branches, especially around the bar area, and the beautiful mural on the wall in the dining area. As for the food, there were oddly not too many vegetarian options which was disappointing but the waitress managed the accommodate. Note that their beans are made with lard so to my vegetarians, you won't be able to have their beans and they don't offer black beans for some reason. I got the enchiladas con mole and replaced their shredded chicken with mushrooms and this dish was truly flavorful. The mole was sweet with hints of spice so it really brought the enchiladas home for me. Portions are big too! My only recommendation is that this place offers a vegeatarian section/ menu and offer black beans to make it more vegetarian friendly.

Overall, the food was good but it was really loud and busy inside. I came here on Saturday night and had to wait for 2.5hr before getting seated. I would definitely recommend joining the waitlist beforehand. We ordered los favoritos, ceviche tropical, and birria de res along with horchata and pina agua fresca. We all enjoyed our food and the complimentary chicharrones chips. There was live band performing and they played hispanic music. It was definitely a vibe, but the music was really loud. Not sure if they have performances like that all the time but it was super hard to hear/speak to anyone even if they were right next to me.

Rosa Madera is such a unique and fun restaurant. If you love Mexican food with all the traditional flavors of Mexico, then Rosa Madera is for you. The place is spacious with amazing Mexican decor. When you enter, you are instantly transported to a Mexican oasis. You can enjoy drinks at their bar or at your table. They offer a nice selection of tequilas, mezcal, and other spirits, making your choice in mixed drinks tough. They also offer aguas frescas and beer. People often come to celebrate their birthday as they will bring you a complimentary flan and happily sing happy birthday. The service was great, and our server was attentive, really helpful, and checked on our table regularly. I enjoyed their molcajete, which is served in a hot stone and includes steak, chicken, chorizo, queso fresco, cactus, and a delicious spicy salsa. It is served with rice, beans, and tortillas. They usually have mariachi on Wednesdays and a live band on Thursdays. It gets pretty loud, but the ambiance is great. They take reservations Monday through Thursday, but be prepared to wait Friday through Sunday. There can be upwards of a three-hour wait, but it's worth it just for the experience. I recommend Rosa Madera; you will not be disappointed.

This is the longest I ever waited for a table. Took about 2 and a half hours to get a table. Once we got the text to go in, the inside was beautiful, smelled amazing, and even had live music. The food was delicious. I could tell it was authentic Mexican food. This is a great place to celebrate with friends and family. Just be aware of the long wait time.
